Cabela’s Joins the 2013 Community Fishing Derby

The Hoffman Estates Cabela’s store joins forces with the Hoffman Estates Park district for their annual Community fishing derby.

You want to talk about a great opportunity for families to get out and enjoy a day of fishing, food, and fun.  This is it!  There are prizes, food, and great fishing for all.

You could even win up to a $1,000 Cabela’s gift card!  Now wouldn’t that be great!

Given the location of the event you can even stop off at the store to stock up on live bait as well as any other items you may need.

Cabela’s joins with The Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce joins and the Hoffman Estates Park District and businesses throughout the area to host the Get Hooked on Fishing Derby on June 8, from 9 am to 3 pm. Held at South Ridge Lake, this annual event features food and beverages, music, activities and tagged fish worth $10-$100 sponsored by local businesses.  There is even a fish worth a $1,000 gift card at Cabela’s.  There will be door prizes, goody bags and tee shirt giveaways.  Food vendors will be on hand so you don’t have to pack a lunch! 

There are no age or residency restrictions and no fishing license is necessary.  Just be sure to register before you start fishing.  Pre-registration is available prior to the event for $3 or you can register at the event for $5.
